Avaz Hafizli was an Azerbaijani activist and journalist. Throughout his life, he highlighted many issues and was the voice of the community. However, on February 22, 2022, he was murdered at the age of 24 by a member of his own family. This murder had been felt beforehand, meaning that Avaz had reported that his life was in danger, but there was no one to protect him.

Remembering Avaz Hafizli is not only about loss.
It is also about saying no to hate speech and calling on all responsible individuals to ensure that we do not lose any more of our friends.
