As previously reported, in the homophobic murder that took place on Bashir Safaroglu Street in Baku, the victim’s close relative, Babak Ibadov, has been detained as a suspect in the crime.
According to available information, Ibadov, born in 1987, has a prior criminal record and is reported to have planned the murder in advance. An investigation into the case is being conducted by the Nasimi District Prosecutor’s Office.
The victim, named Ruzgar, was a 19-year-old queer person. The perpetrator, Babak Ibadov, is the person shown in the photo.
