On November 4, in Baku’s Bashir Safaroglu Street, near a place currently called “Efkar Meyhane,” a gay person was brutally murdered. It is reported that the incident was committed by their uncle around 10–11 a.m., due to the victim’s sexual orientation.
According to information from sources, a person named Ruzgar was attacked with multiple stab wounds. Witnesses at the scene stated that people nearby did not intervene, and the police only arrived after the perpetrator’s call.
It is also reported that doctors did not pay sufficient attention to the victim’s condition.
We call on state institutions to immediately provide a statement regarding the incident and urge the public for their support.
